Report Types

1. Preliminary Report

Preliminary Reports would be conducted where only general issues or defects are known. This type of report attempts to specifically define a problem, determine possible causes and recommend further courses of action. This report is usually conducted as a first step for most situations so that resources are not expended unnecessarily for a detailed report that may only be warranted at a later stage.

2. Specific / Detailed Report

Specific and Detailed Reports would be conducted where specific problems or defects are clearly evident. This report extends from the preliminary type report and may also warrant the need for other expert input such as geotechnical investigation and testing.

3. Residential Building Inspection Report

Residential Building Inspection Reports, involves the visual inspection of buildings so that the condition of the buildings can be established.

4. Proposed Building Advice Report

Proposed Building Advice Reports are where preliminary engineering input is required at the early stage of design of proposed construction, especially where existing buildings or structures are concerned. Issues such as existing footings and structures are usually examined.
